Adrienne T. Carrier

COLEBROOK, NH – Mrs. Adrienne T. Carrier, 90, of Colebrook, NH, passed away at her residence on Sunday, February 27, 2011. She was born in Paquetteville, Québec, on August 25, 1920, a daughter to the late Alfred and Amanda (Giroux) Thibeault. She was educated in Canada, and moved to the U.S. with her husband in 1948. Mrs. Carrier spent her life caring for her family, and she also worked in the produce department at Lambert’s Grocery Store and as a chambermaid at the Colebrook Country Club. She loved to sew, quilt and cross-stitch, and she was an avid walker, often walking up to 3 miles per day with her friends. She was a communicant at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church and a member of the Catholic Women’s Club. Mrs. Carrier leaves behind three daughters, Solange Swallow of Colebrook, NH, Jocelyn Carpino of North Carolina, and Marie Parker and husband Ronald of Columbia; a son, Richard Carrier of Summerdale, Ala.; six grandchildren, Brian and Jason Beauchemin of North Carolina, Tina Harding of West Stewartstown, Karen Zaffanella of Conn., Ryan Parker of Swanzey, NH, and Amy Caron of Colebrook; six great-grandchildren, Diego, Nadia and Giada Zaffanella, Brett Caron, and Bailey and Nicholas Swallow; two brothers, John Thibeault and wife Raymonde of Conn., and Fr. Patrick Thibeault of Montreal, Qué.; and a sister, Irene Beloin of Coaticook, Qué. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lucien Carrier in 1983; three brothers, Ovide Thibeault, a child named Raymond Thibeault, and an adult named Raymond Thibeault; a very close sister-in-law, Arvetta Thibeault; and two sons-in-law, Francis Swallow and Ben Carpino, Sr., and her step-mother, Eva Champagne. Memorial calling hours will be Friday, March 11, 2011, from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. at the Jenkins & Newman Funeral Home in Colebrook. A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 12, at 10 a.m. at St. Brendan’s Church in Colebrook with The Rev. Craig Cheney as celebrant.
