Dennis Leo Marsh

COLEBROOK, NEW HAMPSHIRE – Mr. Dennis Leo Marsh, 52, of Colebrook, New Hampshire, passed away suddenly Sunday, April 5, 2009, at the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook. Dennis was born May 14, 1956, in West Stewartstown, NH, a son of Wilbur Guy and Juliette Bernadette (Holden) Marsh. Dennis was raised in Erving, MA, and later moved to Colebrook where he worked for Beecher Falls Division of Ethan Allen and later for Tillotson Healthcare in the truck garage and also for Nash Equipment. His most recent employer was Tillotson Corporation where he worked as a boiler operator. Dennis was a very dedicated father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his children, Rhiannon, Collette, Jennifer and Wayde, and with all of his grandchildren, especially Dawson. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to four-wheel as well as hunt and fish with his son, Wayde, his cousin, Slugger, and his friends Todd, Russ and Brandon. He also enjoyed spending time with his good friend, Susan Nash, as well as sitting on Main Street watching traffic and flirting with any girl that he could. He was a “wheeler and dealer” when it came to trading trucks and he will be remembered for his favorite saying, “Give me some money”. Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Tamie (Parker) Marsh of Colebrook, NH; four children, Rhiannon Wilkie and husband, Jared, of West Burke, VT, Colette Marsh and Todd Martel of Colebrook, NH, Jennifer Jacques and husband, Stephen, of Wilton, NH, and Wayde Marsh and wife, Nadine, of Orange, MA; his mother, Juliette “Jigger” Marsh of Erving, MA; four sisters, Darlene Breault and husband, Russ, Donna Pollock, Diane Irons and husband, Alan, and Kelly Taft and husband, Steve; two brothers, Richard Marsh and wife, Cindy, and Ronald Marsh and wife, Mary; ten grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Dennis is preceded in death by his father, Wilbur Guy Marsh. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2009, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Jenkins & Newman Funeral Home in Colebrook. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, April 8th at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church with The Reverend Richard Boyden officiating. An interment service will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2009, at 4:30 p.m. at the Colebrook Village Cemetery.
