Esther Brousseau

PITTSBURG, NH -- Mrs. Esther “Sam” Brousseau, 61, of Pittsburg, NH, passed away early Saturday morning, July 17, 2010, in Concord, NH, with her loving family at her side. She was born in West Stewartstown, NH, on June 23, 1949, a daughter of the late Leslie and Leora (Heath) Willis. She was raised in Pittsburg and graduated from Pittsburg High School. After high school, Esther attended hairdressing school, however her main career spanned almost 40 years in information technology in the insurance industry. She attended college in Manchester, NH, and received a degree in computer science and business administration, and then worked for Blue Cross & Blue Shield insurance for 39 years as an information technology consultant, computer programmer and in many other positions. Esther loved crafts of all sorts, especially needlepoint. She was also an avid card player and loved to play with her friends while visiting and talking. She cherished her family, especially time spent with her grandchildren; and she will be remembered by all as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She leaves behind her husband of 41 years, Waldo Brousseau of Pittsburg, NH; her three step-children, Diane Leroux and husband Roger of Waterford, Vt., Robert Brousseau of Canaan, Vt., and Edward Brousseau and wife, Wendy, of Canaan; five grandchildren, Seth Warner, Thomas Leroux, Adam, Tyler and Jasmine Brousseau; and one great-grandchild, Amelia Warner; as well as numerous cousins. Memorial calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2010, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Jenkins & Newman Funeral Home in Colebrook. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 23, at 10:00 a.m. at the Farnham Memorial United Methodist Church in Pittsburg, NH. An interment will immediately follow at the Pittsburg Hollow Cemetery.
