Florence Champagne

BLOOMFIELD, VERMONT -- Ms. Florence Champagne, 75, of Bloomfield, Vt., passed away Saturday afternoon, June 30, 2007, at the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook after a lengthy illness. Ms. Champagne was born August 16, 1931, in St. Isadore, Québec, a daughter of the late Louis Dostie and Elise (Fecteau) Dostie. After coming to the United States, she worked for a time at the Stratford Plywood Mill. She will be remembered by many for her more than 30 years working at her sister’s and brother-in-law’s store, DeBanville’s, on the corner of Routes 102 and 105 in Bloomfield. Ms. Champagne is survived by five sisters, Simonne Bertrand and Fernande Labranche of Sawyerville, Que., Marie Rose DeBanville of Bloomfield, Vt., Rolande Dodier of St. Isadore, Que., and Bertha Lafonde of St. Malo, Que.; as well as by numerous nieces and nephews. Ms. Champagne is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister. There are no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, July 6, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in North Stratford, NH, with The Rev. Daniel Deveau as celebrant. An interment will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Bloomfield. Expressions of sympathy in Ms. Champagne’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Après être venue au États-Unis, elle a travaillé pour un certain temps à Stratford Plywood Mills. Mais plusieurs ce souviendront d’elle pour ses plus de 30 ans de service travailant pour ses soeurs et beau frères au magasin DeBanville au coin des Routes 102 et 105 à Bloomfield. Mme Champagne laisse dans le deuil ses cinq soeurs Simonne Bertrand et Fernande Labranche de Sawyerville, Qué., Marie Rose DeBanville de Bloomfield, Vt., Rolande Dodier de St-Isidore, Qué., et Bertha Lafonde de St-Malo, Qué.; aussi plusieurs nièces et neveux. Mme Champagne est précédé par la mort par ses parents, trois frères et une soeur. La famille ne recevront pas de condoléances. Une messe mémorial sera célébré par le Révérand Daniel Deveau, vendredi le 6 juillet, 2007 à 11 :00 a.m. à l’Église Sacred Heart à North Stratford, NH.
