Henry "Pat" Joseph Rodrique

Mr. Henry “Pat” Joseph Rodrique, 89, just eight days shy of his 90th birthday, passed away late Saturday evening, February 17, 2007, at the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital. Pat was born on February 25, 1917, in Augusta, Maine, son of the late Joseph Matthias and Mary Georgiana (Roy) Rodrique. Having been born in Maine, Pat was raised in Ste-Justine, P.Q., Canada, and returned to the United States at an early age. He worked in the woods for many years while also working for a short period of time at The BALSAMS Grand Resort Hotel and Beecher Falls Division of Ethan Allen. For several years, he plowed in Pittsburg for the State of New Hampshire, but his primary source of employment was working for The Glen in Pittsburg as a professional guide and head of maintenance for over 50 years. Pat was well known for his love of the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. His favorite “indoor sport” was playing his favorite card game with friends and family. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all. Pat is survived by his loving wife of almost 59 years, Regina M. (Hicks) Rodrique of Pittsburg, NH; a son, Sheridan Rodrique and wife, Sharon, of Pittsburg, NH; two daughters, Marlene Rodrique of Concord, NH, and Arlene Rodrique of Pittsburg, NH; five grandchildren, Joy Rodrique and Michelle Rodrique, both of Concord, NH, Robin Brooks and companion, Darrin Jock, of Pittsburg, NH, Ryan Brooks and wife, Monie, of West Stewartstown, NH, and Kiya Rodrique of Concord, NH; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Pat is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Carleen Prehemo; and eleven brothers and sisters, Emilien Rodrique, Joseph Rodrique, Babe Rodrique, Jean Lemieux, Mary Anna Hamel, Florida Fortin, Blanche Rodrique, Roland Rodrique, Rose Pommainville, Ernest Rodrique and Simone Giroux. Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 19, 2007, from 6-8 p.m. at the Jenkins & Newman Funeral Home in Colebrook. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, February 20th at 1:00 p.m. at the Farnham Memorial United Methodist Church with Pastor Ed Grant officiating. An interment service will be held at the Pittsburg Hollow Cemetery on Saturday, May 26, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. with The Reverend Dr. Edward Grant officiating.Expressions of sympathy in Pat’s memory may be made to the Pittsburg Ambulance Corps, c/o Marjorie Straw, Back Lake Road, Pittsburg, NH 03576.
