Hervé Boire

Mr. Hervé Boire, 82, of Colebrook, NH, passed away suddenly Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital. Mr. Boire was born September 18, 1921, in Berlin, NH, son of the late Edy and Marie Rose (Hebert) Boire. His first love was farming and he farmed during the day while working at the Stratford Mill in the evening. You would often find him in the woods or on his tractor. He also worked for Nash Equipment and Marchesseault Tree Farm roping Christmas trees. His many hobbies included reading, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. He would often find time to frequent a favorite restaurant to share a meal with his many brothers and sisters. He will be remembered for his commitment to St. Brendan's Roman Catholic Church, walking to church even during the winter months. He was also a charter member of Our Lady of Grace Council #3028 Knights of Columbus, Columbia, NH, taking his first degree on April 1, 1947. Mr. Boire is survived by his loving wife, Jeannine (Desautels) Boire of Colebrook, NH; his children: Jocelyn Boire and wife, Iola, of West Stewartstown, NH, Germain Boire and wife, Gaetane, of Colebrook, NH, Blandine Shallow of Jefferson, NH, Helen Phillips of Hampstead, NH, Norman Boire and wife, Alicia, of Colebrook, NH, Rita Gilbert and husband, Michael, of Colebrook, NH, Micheline Lambert and husband, Bruno, of Manchester, NH, Peter Rouleau and wife, Nancy, of Columbia, NH, Diane Walsh and husband, Thomas, of Manchester, NH, Judy Erbaker and husband, John, of Holiday, FL, Serge Rouleau and wife, Diane, of Colebrook, NH, Francoise Johnson and husband, Scott, of Newmarket, NH, and Dennis Rouleau of Colebrook, NH; his brothers and sisters: Roger Boire of Sawyerville, P.Q., Canada, Gilberte Fauteux of Sherbrooke, P.Q., Canada, Maurice Boire of Coaticook, P.Q., Canada, Rollande Montminy of St. Malo, P.Q., Canada, Carmen Boire of Magog, P.Q., Canada, Rosaire Boire of St. Malo, P.Q., Canada, Real Boire of Sherbrooke, P.Q., Canada, Lucienne Lacombe of Sherbrooke, P.Q., Canada; twenty-six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Boire was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Henriette (Fauteux) Boire on August 2, 1960; and a sister, Therese Letarte.
