Ileana R. Noyes

SUN CITY, AZ—Mrs. Ileana Reveron Noyes, 78, of Sun City, Ariz., and formerly of Colebrook, NH, passed away in the early morning hours of Oct 7, 2012, in her home. She was held by her husband and surrounded by her family. She was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico on April 16, 1934, to the late Oscar and Amparo Vergne Reveron. She attended schools in Puerto Rico, at the age of 22 met the love of her life, James Drew Noyes. They met at a military celebration, and at first site she made sure she informed all her friends to stay away from that “sailor,” as she would be marrying him. And so they were married…a marriage of 55 years showed the devotion, loyalty and dedication she had to the vows she made to her husband and he to her…to love each other during sickness and in health, during difficult times and through all the joyous moments in their lives together. Ileana loved her native home of Puerto Rico, but followed her Navy husband, and together they began a wonderful journey and started a family. She was an incredible mother, one that was able to balance the life of raising her two sons and daughter while her husband was out to sea protecting our country. She provided a warm, loving environment, teaching them faith and the importance of morals. Although, her immediate family reaped in the rewards of her love, her grandchildren were showered with her loyal devotion to them. She adored each and every one of them as if they were her own. Every time one would walk in the door, you could see the pride shine from within her. They felt that pride and it gave them also the inner strength they, too, now possess. Ileana was a beautiful young woman who carried that self-confidence throughout her lifetime. A loving daughter, sister, friend, wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be remembered and forever appreciated for her many years of love and unselfish sacrifices. When you look into the night at the stars…with a heavy heart, missing Ileana… imagine they are not stars, but rather openings in heaven where her love and the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are at peace. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 55 years, James Noyes of Sun City, Ariz.; her two sons, Thomas Noyes and his wife Vikki, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Michael Noyes and wife Dinah of Glendale, Ariz.; daughter Lisa Noyes of Phoenix, Ariz.; a brother, Oscar Reveron of Colebrook, NH; and a sister, Ivonne Reveron of Florida; five grandchildren, Nathan Noyes of NY, Matthew Noyes, Jennifer Iacovo, Melissa Noyes and Lindsay La Presto of Ariz.; and a loving sister-in-law, Aurea Tirado of Puerto Rico. She also had several loving nieces and nephews: Diana Reveron, Jeannette Leonardo, Ingrid, Robert and Jonathan Overman. A memorial Mass will be held in Sun City, Ariz., at the St. Elizabeth Seton Parish on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at 11 a.m. A graveside committal service will occur at St. Brendan’s Catholic Cemetery in Colebrook at a later date to be announced.
