Narayana Das Kelley

COLEBROOK – Narayana Das Kelley, of Colebrook passed away on Dec. 22, 2022, after a years-long battle with a painful illness. He was 33 years old. May his memory be a blessing. A devoted member of the Krishna consciousness movement, Narayana was a highly spiritual person well versed in scripture. He loved his family more than anything and dedicated his life to them. Narayana was an unparalleled brother, son, nephew, and cousin. To his eleven nephews and nieces, he was simply the Greatest Uncle in the World. His nephews and nieces were always on his mind, and he cared for them immensely. He spent time with them in their worlds when they were little and sent birthday and holiday cards when they were older. Narayana passed on his love for, and knowledge of, video games, baseball, and Pokémon to them. Narayana was a kind and loving soul. He gave hugs that made you feel loved. He had an infec-tious laughter and wonderful sense of humor. He loved sitting around a kitchen table telling sto-ries and having heartfelt conversations. Oftentimes those tables had board games and Uno cards. Narayana was a savvy and successful Monopoly player. He was a Life Scout and really enjoyed his time with Troop 220. He was a charitable person who gave his time and money to support his community and religious organizations. Narayana was a gifted guitar player and loved listening to music, especially anything released by John, Paul, George, or Ringo. In the spring, summer, and fall he was cheering on the Boston Red Sox. When autumn turned to winter, he was supporting the New England Patriots. He loved being out in Nature; swimming in the Mohawk River and Maidstone Lake, visiting wa-terfalls, and stargazing at night. He spread joy all over the country by sharing photos of sunrises he took on his morning walks. He loved to say, “…the Sun is up, the sky is blue, it's beautiful, and so are you.” Narayana was a talented gardener. He spent the entire growing season tending to every plant in the soil. His specialty was growing the most amazing sunflowers. He enjoyed the whole growing season, even the end, the Harvest Moon. He would look forward to any significant full moon and tried to catch every miss Lunar Eclipse. If he could see one of these celestial events, but it was cloudy where you were, he would send you a picture. Narayana was one of at least 31 members of his family who attended Colebrook Academy. He was very fortunate to have gone to school at the same time as multiple cousins. In school Nara-yana excelled at mathematics and physics. He had a steadfast determination to complete his col-lege education, as well. All the hard work paid off when he earned a degree from White Moun-tains Community College. Narayana was well traveled and adventurous. He walked the streets of Rome and visited the Colosseum. Stateside, Narayana crisscrossed the country with stops throughout New England, New York, Texas, Florida, Arizona, and Tennessee. Narayana lived in Manchester, NH for two years to be close to his sister Govinda and nephew Rahma. Narayana was very dedicated to helping his Mom and Dad, Cindy and Dennis Kelley of Cole-brook. He loved them deeply. He was always helpful when it came to their phones or any elec-tronics, which helped them keep in touch with the large extended family. He had many, many, many cousins and always looked forward to spending time with them, and his cousins loved go-ing over to his house to hang out with him. Narayana loved being with family and was always at our many family get-togethers. He was a sharped-dressed man for formal events and always looked good in a suit. He also knew how to have a good time and he loved having bonfires with family gathered around them. Narayana was a big part of a very large family. Narayana was preceded in death by his beloved cousins Jared Kennett and Ronan Kelley Sklar, his maternal grandmother Priscilla, and grandfather John Dustin, his paternal grandfather Cecil Edward Kelley, Jr., his paternal great-aunt Phyllis Haertel, his paternal Uncle John and Aunt Maryland, and his maternal uncle, Dan Dustin. Narayana is survived by his parents Cynthia (Dustin) and Dennis Edward Kelley of Colebrook, his brother Morning Sun Dennis Woodstock Daru Brahman Das Kelley of Terrell, TX, his wife Melanie and sons Krishna, Gopal, and Madhava, his brother Sadhu Samuel Kelley of Gorham, NH, and children Bhima and Avalon, his sister Govinda Devi Das Kelley and Danny Vega of Vista, CA, their children Rahma, Amara, and Anaya, his brother Krishna Murari Das Kelley of Coppell, TX, his wife Antonia and children Keshava Hari Das, Jaya Krishna, and Lila Priya, his paternal grandmother Catherine Kelley of Merrick, NY, his Aunt Darlene and Uncle Jon Fogg, their family Dylan, Marion, and Annelise Fogg, Dakota and Harrison Fogg, Dawson Fogg and his girlfriend Kathryn, his Aunt Barbara and Uncle Jules Kennett, Jacob and Victoria Kennett daughter Ella, Joseph Kennett, Jenna Kennett and Kyle McGee, children Jameson and Emerson, Jordan Kennett and Ariana Johns son Jared, Jessa Kennett, Jaydon Kennett, and Jonah Kennett, his Aunt Diana and Uncle James Hutchinson, Jesse and Hannah Hutchinson, Ethan and Ludmilla Hutchinson, son Theoden, and Isaiah Hutchinson, his cousin Christopher Strobel, wife Kathy, children Olivia, Aiden, and Bryce, his Aunt Deborah and Uncle Lloyd Howe, Shera Howe, Ste-ven and Jenn Howe and their children Alan, Dylan, Lizzie, and Candice, his Aunt Kathy Ratliff and her son Joshua and wife Elizabeth, children Millie and Lincoln, son Ezekiel and wife Corin-na, children Levon, Echo, and Alpine, and son Elijah, his Uncle Jeff Dustin, his cousin Sarah and Seamus Healey and their children Zaida Healey-Ruby, Izaac Healey, Sean Healey, grandson Xa-vier Ruby, his cousins James Dustin of Boston, MA, Danica (Dustin) and Tyler Tatge, children Jenna, Blake, and Jalen, Johnathan Dustin and Sarah Dustin of Arizona, his cousin Jason Sperry and his son Jason, Hannah Dustin, Abigail Dustin, and Ronnie Rabel of Arizona, Aunt Ginnie Kelley and her son Michael Kelley of Cincinnati, OH, Uncle Edward and Aunt Joyce of Merrick, NY, Jamuna Kelley, Alex Sklar, Prema Kelley and Daniel Cook son Gavin Cook, and Tara Kel-ley, his Uncle Jim Hannigan, Fred Dustin, Jane Dustin, Parnchan Haynes, David Ratliff, and with such a large extended family it is possible we missed someone.
