Willie D. Judd Jr.

PITTSBURG - Willie D. Judd, Jr., 69, of Pittsburg, died unexpectedly at his home late on Monday, March 23, 2026. He was born on July 15, 1956, in W. Stewartstown, the eldest son of the late Willie D. and Janice (Straw) Judd, Sr. He spent his entire life in Pittsburg and graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1974, where he played basketball all four years and scored more than 1,100 points. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Willie lived his life with generosity, a thoughtful nature, and enduring strength. Known by others as thoughtful and dependable, Willie approached every challenge with patience and integrity and was well known for his storytelling and his dry sense of humor. Willie really enjoyed talking about his favorite sports teams and sharing humorous family memories, especially the wild stories about his siblings’ close calls. From an early age, Willie showed a deep appreciation for hard work and learning—values that would guide him throughout his life. Willie worked as a supervisor at the Tillotson Rubber Co. for more than 25 years, and after the plant closed, he spent the next 20 years at Columbia House. Although he claimed he was going to retire every day for five years straight, he eventually did—only to return as a substitute teacher in the local elementary schools, where he especially valued his time with the Colebrook faculty and staff. He liked to stay active and was rarely ever idle. Willie’s greatest joy was his family. He married his wife, Nancy, in 1986, and together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. He was a proud father to four daughters, Kilee, Jodi, Jensen, and Kirby. Willie was an even prouder grandfather, never missing an opportunity to attend a game or milestone moment, no matter how far he had to travel, or how badly the team lost. Willie will be remembered for his ability to recall anyone’s date of birth, date of death, or any other random historical fact. Willie enjoyed taking his dog, Jeter for walks around the dam and loved riding around town on his side by side. The only thing making these things even better for him was having a grandkid or two tagging along. Willie is survived by his loving wife of more than 40 years, Nancy (Kenney) Judd of Pittsburg; his children, Kilee (Christopher) Willey of Walden, Vt., Jodi (Joel) Young of Pittsburg, Jensen (Mario) Giroux of Canaan, Vt., and Kirby (Michel) Marquis of Palmer, Ma.; his siblings Richard Judd and partner Bev Lord of Pittsburg, Kevin Judd of Pittsburg, Kim Chase and husband Warren of Pittsburg, and Vincent Judd and wife Christine of Murphy, N.C.; eight grandchildren, Kaiden and Kendall Willey, Jaylyn and Jaclyn Young, Vera, Ivan, and Maren Giroux, and Weston Willie Marquis; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. There are no public calling hours. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Judd Community Hall (church hall) on Main Street in Pittsburg.
