Claire R. Hebert Barden

PITTSBURG – Claire R. Hebert Barden, 80, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at the Concord Hospice House in Concord, NH, with her loving children by her side and after a long battle with cancer. Claire was born in Sainte Thecle, Quebec, on Feb. 5, 1936, the daughter of the late Eucharist and Florida (Beland) Lesieur. She was raised in Canada and later moved to Colebrook where she worked in the hospitality industry all of her life, including the Spa restaurant, the American Legion, the Colebrook Country Club, and The Balsams, to name a few. She finally reached her life-long dream of becoming a “snow bird” and enjoyed spending her winters in sunny Brooksville Fla., and her summers in serene Pittsburg. Claire was loved by all for her loving and caring nature, and she took great pride in being involved in her family and friends’ lives. She was an avid cribbage player, a game that she took very seriously. She will be dearly missed by family and friends alike. Claire is survived by her husband, Timothy Barden of Florida; a son, Gilles Hebert of Manchester NH; a daughter, Louise Linnell and husband Gary of Sacramento, Calif.; her grandson who she lovingly raised, Eric Hebert of Hooksett NH; three sisters, Jeannine Gauthier, Liette and husband Urban Bergeron, Lise and husband Noel Allaire; many grandchildren,Tyler Robinson-Hebert, Jason Linnell, Michelle Johnson, Lori Hibbard, Carolynn Castillo, Sophie Hebert, and Natalie Hebert; several great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by three children, Suzanne Hebert, Michael Hebert, and Linda Hebert; five brothers, Denis, Real, Paul, Anaicet, and Nelson Lesieur; and a sister, Pauline. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Jenkins & Newman Funeral Home in Colebrook. A graveside interment service will be held the next morning, Thursday, June 30, at 11 a.m. at St. Brendan’s Cemetery in Colebrook with The Rev. Craig Cheney presiding.
