Elizabeth M.L. Brauer Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

NORTH STRATFORD – Elizabeth M. L. Brauer, 65, of North Stratford, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, June 11, 2022. She was born in Cambridge, Mass., on Aug. 20, 1956, a daughter to the late George L. Leavitt, Jr., and Jean (Lahiff) Leavitt. Elizabeth was a kind-hearted person and very hospitable person who was frequently misunderstood due to her ongoing mental health issues. She was a cheerful grandmother to her grandchildren, and she enjoyed decorating, arts & crafts, flowers of all kinds, and cooking. She is survived by her husband of more than 30 years, Michael Brauer, Sr., of North Stratford; three sons, David Leavitt of Massachusetts, Michael Brauer, Jr. of Island Pond, Vt., and John Brauer of Boston, Mass.; a daughter, Elizabeth McPherson and her husband Shane of Groveton and their two children, Braedon and Victoria; six siblings, George L. Leavitt III of N.H., John R. Leavitt, Jean Norton, Daniel Leavitt , Patricia Rosselli, all of Massachusetts, and Thomas Leavitt of Maine. Calling hours will be on Monday, June 20, 2022, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Jenkins & Newman Funeral Home in Colebrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church with The Rev. Craig Cheney as celebrant.
