Henri-Louis Pelletier Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

WEST STEWARTSTOWN – Henri-Louis Pelletier passed away at the Coos County Nursing Hospital (CCNH) in West Stewartstown on Friday, June 3, 2022, at the age of 92. He was born on Sept. 17, 1929, in St. Malo, Quebec, to the late Michel Pelletier and Rachel Pepin . Henri-Louis shared his life with Cecile Houle for 67 years until her passing in 2018. Not having children of their own, they cherished their nephews and nieces. After starting their life together in 1952 on a farm in St. Malo, Henri-Louis and Cecile made the move to the U.S. in 1958 when he began working construction and they settled in East Hartford, CT. Henri-Louis was exceptional at carpentry, always making sure everything he touched was just right. Retirement brought a move to Vero Beach, FL where Henri-Louis and Cecile spent over 17 years playing cards and enjoying the company of friends before relocating to Beecher Falls in order to be closer to family. In 2018 declining health brought the couple to Coos County Nursing Hospital where Henri-Louis always enjoyed the activities coordinated by the staff. Henri-Louis is survived by two brothers, Egide (late Germaine Forget) of Repentigny, Que., Andre and his wife Helene (Gagne) of Littleton, N.H., and a sister, Soeur Rita Pelletier, FCSCJ, of Senneterre, Abitibi; a sister-in-law, Beatrice Laperle of Coaticook, Que.; and a brother-in-law, Denis Houle and his wife Lise of Enfield, CT. Henri-Louis was pre-deceased by two brothers, Germain and Robert, and a sister Angele (Ubald Roy). He also leaves behind numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. The family would like to acknowledge Julie Bolton for her devotion to Henri-Louis and thank the wonderful staff at CCNH (especially Julie Giroux & Rita) for the care and compassion shown to Henri-Louis in his final years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Catholic Church in St. Malo, Quebec, on July 9th with condolences at 10:00 a.m., Mass at 11:00 a.m. and interment immediately following at St. Malo Cemetery.
