Janet L. Greer Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

CLARKSVILLE – Janet L. Greer, 70, of Clarksville, died at her home on Sunday evening, July 4, 2021, surrounded by her family and after several months of declining health. She was born in Boston, Mass., on May 4, 1951, the only daughter of the late Edward and Amilee (Connor) Rogers. Janet was raised in Philadelphia, Penn., and Beverly, Mass., but always considered Harrisville, NH, a home as well. Janet had a love for healthcare and was a LNA for many years for both the Rockingham County Nursing Home and later the Coös County Nursing Hospital, which she considered a second home, until she retired after 23 years. She loved to hunt, fish, camp, and she enjoyed tending her vegetable garden in the summer months. She also loved to travel when she could, from going on cruises with friends to weekend trips to New York City with her family. It was a longtime dream of hers to see a Broadway play in NYC, which was achieved in the fall of 2019. Janet had a wonderful sense of humor and could brighten anyone’s day with her stories. She cherished time spent with her friends and family members. Janet leaves behind her husband of more than 43 years, Russell Greer of Clarksville; three sons, Edward Foss of Virginia Beach, Va., and Josh (Sarah Kirk) Greer of Clarksville, and Russell Greer of Epping, N.H. She was predeceased by her fourth son, Justin Tyme, who perished in a house fire at 18 months old. She also leaves her daughter, Luanne (Duane) Young of Clarksville; and four grandchildren: Emily and Ashley Foss and Melinda and Allyson Young; and a brother, Philip Rogers of North Dakota.
