COLEBROOK — Jerome ‘Jerry’ R. Moren, 72, of Colebrook, passed away at his residence on Friday, Nov. 24, 2017, after many months of failing health. He was born in West Stewartstown on Nov. 13, 1945, a son to the late Lawrence and Celia (Clark) Moren. Jerry was a 1964 graduate of Colebrook Academy and later went on to earn an accounting degree at the Southern New Hampshire University. For most of his working life, Jerry was a well-known local carpenter. He worked for several years in the maintenance department at The Balsams, and he later was in business for himself. He loved to fish and to be outdoors in the woods. He was a member of the Umbagog ATV club, and Jerry always enjoyed being on his 4-wheeler. Jerry was also an animal lover and loved his dogs. He truly loved his family and he loved to spend time with his grandchildren. Jerry is survived by his four children; Cortney Prentice and husband Wade of Campton, NH, Hylaree Moren of Lancaster, NH, Todd Moren and wife Brandy of Lancaster, and Paige Moren of Colebrook; six grandchildren, Brooke Chapple, Kole Chapple, Reese Prentice, Vincent Moren, Grace Moren, and Lucas Moren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by four siblings, Lawrence Moren, Jr., Gordon Moren, Gail Mitchell, and Susan MacDonald. There are no public calling hours. A graveside interment service will be held at the Colebrook Village Cemetery on Friday, May 25, 2018, of which notice will be given.
