COLEBROOK – Lucille H. Lavoie, 95, of Manchester, died late on Wednesday evening, Nov. 4, 2020, at the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook, after a short illness and with her two sons by her side. She was born in Manchester, NH, on March 5, 1925, a daughter to the late Joseph and Eva (Cullurot) Janelle. Raised and educated there, Lucille was a 1943 graduate of Manchester West High School. She was a life-long resident of the Bartlett Street neighborhood. A homemaker in her younger years, Lucille ran an in-home daycare as part of the greater Manchester child care association, and she eventually took on work as an upholsterer. She also worked for many years at the Caskcraft factory in Manchester which was a casket manufacturing plant. She was a talented seamstress. Very community-minded, Lucille was a leader for both Cub Scouts and the Girl Scouts in her neighborhood. She loved to go camping, bowling, and to play Bingo. She is survived by her two sons, Leo Lavoie, Sr., and his wife Robyn of Colebrook, and Dennis Lavoie of Manchester; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her loving husband of more than 59 years, Richard E. Lavoie in 2009; and all her siblings, Paul, Albert, Leon, Simone, and Larry Janelle, and Theresa Perozzi.
