Brandon J. Dobson

PITTSBURG, NH – Mr. Brandon J. Dobson, 67, of Pittsburg, NH, passed away on Friday evening, March 4, 2011, at the Coös County Nursing Hospital in West Stewartstown, NH, following a period of declining health. He was born on December 23, 1943, in West Stewartstown, NH, the son of James E. and Marguerite (Keyser) Dobson. Brandon attended schools in Stewartstown Hollow and then went to the Cedar Brook School before attending Colebrook Academy where he as a member of the F.F.A. After school he worked for many different local trucking companies, and he was a truck driver for his entire adult life. Following his retirement he enjoyed his hobbies of building picnic tables, benches and tables. He also enjoyed motorcycling with his friends. He was a lover of the outdoors and he enjoyed his time fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and spending time in Buckhorn with family and friends. Brandon loved to go to Young’s Store in Pittsburg with Ronnie Owen and Paul Wright to have coffee and visit with “the boys.” He leaves behind his wife of almost 45 years, Janice (Clogston) Dobson of Pittsburg; his children, Tina Marie Lovette and husband Fred of Colorado, Deanna Waryas and husband David of Bellows Falls, Vt., Betty Jo Lane and husband Tim of Charlestown, NH, Tina Marie Walbridge and husband Joe of Canaan, NH, and one he considered as close as his own son, Scottie Owen of Pittsburg, NH; a sister, Brenda Paquette and husband Herman of Colebrook; a brother Robert Dobson and wife Leis of Bennett, Colo.; three grandchildren, Michael Dobson, Joseph Guy and Dalton Guy; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved kitty, Phoebe. He is preceded in death by a brother, Jerry E. Dobson, exactly one year prior, on March 4, 2010. At Brandon’s specific request, there are no calling hours. The family will have a memorial service at a later date to celebrate his life.
