BEECHER FALLS — Christopher Shawn Thibeault, 24, passed away suddenly at the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, due to complications from, and after a life-long health struggle with Marfan’s Syndrome. He was born on Sept. 2, 1993, in Colebrook, the son of Christopher and Shori (Colby) Thibeault. He was raised in Beecher Falls and attended schools in Canaan. Chris was a 2012 graduate of Canaan Memorial High School. Christopher touched many lives during the short span of his own. He was always smiling and always happy. He enjoyed four-wheeling, and driving of any kind, he loved to go bowling or to the movies, and truly enjoyed spending time at camp on Lake Wallace with the Begin family. He was a proud member of the Sons of the American Legion, Squadron 47, and had served as its Sergeant-at-Arms. Chris loved to visit the state of Maine. He leaves behind his mother, Shori McKinnon and step-father ‘Buzz’ McKinnon of Beecher Falls; his sister, Rebecca Thibeault of Tilton, NH; his paternal grandmother, Shirley Thibeault of Beecher Falls; his maternal grandparents, Steve and Linda Colby of West Stewartstown; his aunts and uncles, Kevin Thibeault and wife Regina of Manassas, Va., Shawn Thibeault and wife Angelina of Henderson, Nev., and Shawn Colby of Colebrook; his extended McKinnon family of aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as two who he considered as close as siblings, Raelene and Dillon Begin of Beecher Falls. Chris is predeceased by his father, Christopher G. Thibeault, in 2001; his grandfather, Gerald “Schmoe” Thibeault; and an aunt, Angele Thibeault. Calling hours will be at the Jenkins & Newman Funeral Home in Colebrook on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the next morning, Thursday, Aug. 9, at 11 a.m. at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church in Colebrook with The Rev. Craig Cheney as celebrant. Interment will be at a later date and at the convenience of the family in St. Albert’s Cemetery.
