Julie T. Poulin

Julie T. Poulin, 62, of Columbia, New Hampshire, passed away Saturday morning, March 17, 2007, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire, following a courageous battle with cancer. Julie was born July 14, 1944, in West Stewartstown, NH, daughter of the late Gerard and Aurare (Bedard) Poulin. Julie graduated from Stratford High School in 1962 and went directly to work, first working with Stratford Plywood Company and later for Beecher Falls Division of Ethan Allen. She most recently worked for Ethan Allen as a small parts manager and was very proud of the fact that she had been employed with the company for the past 35 years. Julie loved to fish and she especially enjoyed fishing at "The Dam" at Lyman Falls in Columbia. She also enjoyed bird hunting and buying vehicles and motorcycles for resale. She was a faithful communicant of Sacred Heart Parish in North Stratford. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and many friends and she will be dearly missed by all who loved her. Julie is survived by her son, Stephen E. Poulin and wife, Kellie, of Columbia, NH; her daughter, Lisa A. Hampton and husband, Jim, of Lancaster, NH; three brothers, Paul Poulin of North Stratford, NH, Edward Poulin of Columbia, NH, and Victor “Manny” Poulin of Bloomfield, VT; two sisters, Pauline Lepine of Bloomfield, VT, and Yvonne Burrill of Colebrook, NH; two step-sons, Chuck Sargent and his family of Loudon, NH, and Paul Hodge and his family of Orleans, VT; four grandchildren, Gerard Poulin, Dustin Poulin, Benjamin Hampton and Jacob Hampton; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Julie is preceded in death by her parents and her longtime companion, Paul Sargent in 2000. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2007, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Jenkins & Newman Funeral Home, Colebrook, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 21st at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Parish in North Stratford, NH, with The Reverend Daniel Deveau as celebrant. A private family interment service will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery on Saturday, May 12, 2007. Expressions of sympathy in Julie’s memory may be made to the Sacred Heart Parish, P.O.
