Kristen Riley

NORTH HAVERHILL– Kristen Riley, 71, of North Haverhill, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, Nov. 13, 2023, by the side of her loving husband and high school sweetheart. Kristen was born in West Stewartstown on Jan. 29, 1952, a daughter of the late, Robert A. (Bennett) Vancore and Elmerline (Dwinnell) Vancore of Colebrook. She was raised in Colebrook and was a 1970 graduate of Colebrook Academy. After several years residing in Lee and Weare with her husband, and enjoying their camp that they built in Columbia with their children, Amy Jean and Allen, Kristen and Dale relocated and built a home North Haverhill in 1995. They were the owners of EZ Steel and Fabrication in Bath, N.H., along with their son who owns it now, and worked together for many years, with their daughter joining the business, as well. More recently, Kris retired from the business to fully enjoy time with her grandchildren, who added the utmost joy to her life. They would often be found on the couch, across from their grandmother, telling her their secrets (even though those secrets would not remain secret) and sharing many laughs. Two years ago, Kristen and Dale celebrated a very memorable 50th wedding anniversary at the Spa Restaurant in W. Stewartstown, along with many family members and friends. Kristen was so very grateful for her enjoyable life and leaves behind her beloved husband of 52 years, Dale T. Riley; her sister, Ruth Kelsea Vancore, of Pembroke, N.H.; a daughter, Amy Jean Riley-Baker of St. Johnsbury, Vt.; her son, Allen Riley and wife, Jamie (Fleck) Riley, of North Haverhill; 3 grandsons, Logan Baker, of St. Johnsbury, Andrew, and Alex Riley of North Haverhill; and her only granddaughter, Jessica Riley. Visiting hours will be held at the Jenkins & Newman Funeral Home in Colebrook on Saturday, Nov. 25, from 1 to 3 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Wed., May 22, 2024. at 11 a.m. in the Colebrook Village Cemetery.
