Laurna Marie Rita Noyes

BLOOMFIELD – Laurna Marie Rita Noyes, 54, of Bloomfield, died at the UVM Medical Center in Burlington, Vt., on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023, after a long and courageous battle with cancer and with her family at her side. She was born in West Stewartstown to Ray Masters and Lisette Crete on May 6, 1969. Laurna grew up in Pittsburg where she attended high school. She was an enthusiastic athlete in school, playing softball, basketball and running cross country. In 1992 Laurna married Jeff Noyes of Canaan. They resided in Canaan where she raised their three children before moving to her "cabin" in Bloomfield in 2022 with her pups, Gracee and Coppah. Laurna was very community oriented, especially with youth sports. For many years she helped manage the Canaan Little League program. She also coached little league girls softball, Jr. High girls basketball, where she imparted her famous words of wisdom, and assisted with high school girls basketball. She had many employments over the years, but was proud of her duties as a Deputy Sheriff for Essex County, a position she held for more than 18 years. Laurna was a very nurturing person with an infectious smile. She was also a very forgiving person. She knew the importance of that. Her whole world was her grandchildren; there wasn't anything she wouldn't do for Madelyn, Mavrick, Myla, and Miller. Laurna is survived by her husband of 31 years, Jeffrey Noyes; her three children, Jordan Noyes and her husband Tadd Sierad, Casey Pierni and her husband Brian, and Cole Noyes and his wife Mariah, her sister, Renee (Mark) Dauphinais; her mother, Lisette Vincent; her father, Ray Masters; and her cherished grandchildren, Madelyn, Mavrick, Mayla and Miller Noyes, and soon-to-be-born James Pierni. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the Grace Community Church in Canaan, followed by a continued celebration of Laurna’s life at the home of her daughter, Casey, on Ethan Allen Drive.
