Loretta F. Adams

COLEBROOK – Loretta Faye McKeage Adams, 77, of Colebrook, passed away peacefully with family by her side after a short cancer illness, on Sunday, May 1, 2016, at the Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster, NH. She was born on Jan. 28, 1939, the daughter of the late Josephine (Ellingwood) McKeage and Willard McKeage. Family and friends were her whole world. Her children are Bob Grant and wife Mary, Becky Germain and significant other Mike Pothier, Julie Grant, and their father Jerry Grant. All live in Colebrook. Loretta has eight grandchildren: Douglas Grant, Briana Grant-Thompson, Timothy Germain II, Dustin Grant, Joleen Hughes-Tilton, Dawn Grant-Ridlon, Caleb Grant, and Travis Germain. Loretta also enjoyed her great-grandchildren: Hayden Grant (due to arrive in July), Tanner and Bristol Thompson, Katherine Rodriguez-Germain, Timothy Germain III, and Korina Germain, Logan Grant, Madison Tilton, and Garrett Ridlon. She is preceded in death by her brother, Eddie McKeage. She is survived by her sister Gloria Danello and husband Tom and her sister Juanita Close, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Some of her hobbies over the years included country-wide travel as well as into Canada and Mexico. She enjoyed riding her Harley-Davidson motorcycle that she purchased new in 1985 and put on 40,000 miles. She was so creative in gardening, landscaping, remodeling, building, and painting. She loved to go to the city with her daughter and best friend for shopping, and discovering wonderful new restaurants. Loretta loved to fly and visit her grandsons and their families. For many years she wintered in Sebring, Fla., with her best friends, Roberta, Larry, Ginnie & Dallas. There are no public calling hours. A graveside service will be held at the Colebrook Village Cemetery at a later date, not too far off, of which notice will be given.
