Miriam Ruth Perry

Mrs. Miriam Ruth (McSparrin) Perry, 78, of Colebrook, NH, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2006, at the Concord Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Perry was born March 4, 1927, in Camden, New Jersey, daughter of the late William J. and Helen (Seasholtz) McSparrin. Mrs. Perry was a homemaker, raising her children with her husband, Glenn, on the family dairy farm. She loved caring for her children and grandchildren and was always willing to lend a helping hand to any person in need. Her love for children was evident in the special relationship she had with Jordan Bedard. She was a fun loving and caring person with a great sense of humor. She was known by many as “Ma”, and was also known for her willingness to speak her mind. She and her husband would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this June 15th. She was a member of the Mohawk Grange #217, but her desire to help and care for others consumed most of her time. She will be remembered for the love and generosity that she shared with her family and friends and she will never be forgotten. Mrs. Perry is survived by her loving husband, Glenn L. Perry of Colebrook, NH; three children, Glenn W. Perry and wife, Tracy, of Colebrook, NH, Patricia M. Edes of Pembroke, NH, and Spencer L. Perry and wife, Nancy, of Pembroke, NH; a sister, Tresa Hand of Camden, NJ; eight grandchildren, Mitchell S. Perry, Tanya Kaye Perry, Mindy Lynn Rainville, Jason Thomas Edes, Cale R. Perry, Andrea Marie Edes, Brenda Leigh Jordan and Jennifer Marie Jordan; three great-grandchildren, Andrew L. Rainville, Brandon W. Marsh and Dakota M. Rainville; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Perry is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, William McSparrin; and a sister, Helen Ferren. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2006, from 5-8 p.m. at the Jenkins & Newman Funeral Home in Colebrook with a time of remembrance to he held at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
