Robert A Marshall Jr.

COLUMBIA – Robert A. Marshall, Jr., 80, of Columbia, and formerly of Rowley, MA, passed away at his home on Monday, July 10, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Dale M. Marshall, with whom he shared 33 years of marriage. He was born in Ipswich, MA, on November 12, 1942, son of the late Robert A. Marshall, Sr., and Miriam R. (Ricker) Marshall. Robert was a heavy equipment operator and owner of RAM Trucking for 20 years. He was very grateful for the many friendships he made during his career. He was a proud member of the Local 4 Operators Union and worked for numerous contractors in Rowley and Columbia. He was dedicated to his work and thankful to be able to work until he was 80 years old. His love for the great outdoors brought him to Columbia where he resided for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and four-wheeling with his friends and family. He cherished the time he spent with Dale on their porch, taking in the beautiful view and wildlife in their backyard. Rob was truly the life of the party. He was known for his witty one-liners that made all those close to him laugh. Robert is survived by his wife Dale Marshall; his sister Katherine (Marshall) Dalzell and her husband Stuart of Rowley; his children, Daniel Marshall and his wife Christine of Salisbury, MA, Kim (Marshall) Cyr and her husband Jon of Columbia, Michael Kent of Merrimac, MA, and Jason Kent of Palm Bay, FL. He also leaves his grandchildren: Courtney (Marshall) Krigest and her husband Kyle of Georgetown, MA, Caitlyn Marshall of Rowley, MA, Hayden Cyr of Ossipee, NH, Shelby (Cyr) Farinella and her husband David of Freedom, NH, James Kent of Dover, NH, Joey Kent of Fort Bragg, NC, and Hugh Kent of Orefield, PA; his close nephew, David Dalzell, as well as his other nephews, Peter and Stuart. His family will hold calling hours on Saturday, July 22, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Jenkins & Newman Funeral Home in Colebrook, N.H. A graveside service will be held at the Rowley Cemetery on Main Street in Rowley, MA on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 11 AM.
