Theresa D. Noyes

PITTSBURG — Theresa D. Noyes, 88, of Pittsburg, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2019, in the same home in which she was born after a long period of declining health and surrounded by her family. She was born in Pittsburg on July 8, 1931, a daughter to the late Joseph and Celanire (Benoit) Chaloux. She attended St. Albert’s School and married Lawrence Noyes in 1950. Theresa worked for the Beecher Falls Division of Ethan Allen for 23 years, and later worked in the housekeeping department at the Coös County Nursing Home for 6 years. After retiring, she enjoyed traveling and spending her winters in Stuart, Fla. She enjoyed walking and hand-feeding the deer in her back yard, doing puzzles, reading, and loved being with and in contact with her family. She loved classic country & western music, and was probably Elvis Presley’s biggest fan. Theresa leaves behind seven children, Lawrence Noyes, Jr. (Linda) of Stuart, Fla., Roger Noyes (Rosie) of Navarre, Fla., Donald Noyes (Ginette) of West Stewartstown, Elaine Dagesse (Dan) of Gilford, NH, Diana Rancourt of Beecher Falls, Pauline Thibeault (Richard) of Pittsburg, and Marie Noyes of Canaan; two brothers, Lionel Chaloux of Las Vegas, Nev., and Patrick Chaloux of Concord, NH; a sister, Anna Flynn of Henderson, Nev.; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Lawrence Noyes, Sr. in 1999; five brothers, Percy Chaloux, Albert Chaloux, Wilfred Chaloux, Roland Chaloux and Raymond Chaloux; and two sisters, Arlene Chaloux and Aldea Belanger. There are no public calling hours. A graveside interment service will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2019, in the Colebrook Village Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mrs. Noyes may be made to the North American Martyrs’ Parish, for the benefit of St. Albert’s Church, 55 Pleasant St., Colebrook, NH 03576.
