Yvette L. Beloin

WEST STEWARTSTOWN – Yvette Leona Beloin, 93, passed away at the Coös County Nursing Hospital in West Stewartstown early on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020, after a long period of ill health and surrounded by members of her loving family. She was born in Beecher Falls, Vt., July 14, 1926, a daughter to the late Adrien and Marie Anna (Paquette) Maurais. She was raised in both Beecher Falls and in East Hereford, Quebec. For a short time, Yvette worked at the Beecher Falls Division of Ethan Allen, but most of her adult life was spent raising her family and helping her husband on the family farm for over 40 years. She enjoyed knitting and quilting, and she was a member of the Daughters of Isabelle. Yvette loved to dance, and she and her sister loved Halloween and to attend events that required getting dressed up. Her family will always remember that she also loved to bake for her friends and family. Yvette was a lifelong communicant at both St. Albert’s and St. Brendan’s Churches. Yvette is survived by four children, Suzanne Carrier and her partner in life, Jeff Cauller, of Colebrook, Colette Bellows of Colebrook, Guy Beloin and wife Frances of Litchfield, NH, and Pierre Beloin and wife Tracy of Rosemeade, Calif.; a sister, Annette Boynton of Canaan, Vt.; a brother, Albert Maurais of West Stewartstown; four grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Alcide Beloin, in 2007; a daughter, Leona Beloin in 2011; three brothers, Victor, Rudolph, and Raymond Maurais, Sr.; and two sisters, Rita Ladd and Edith Marquis. There will be no services in the immediate days. Calling hours will be on Friday, July 10, 2020, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Jenkins & Newman Funeral Home in Colebrook, NH, to be followed immediately by a memorial Mass at St. Brendan’s Church in Colebrook at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Albert’s Cemetery in West Stewartstown.
